- The Beer Store to continue to return empty bottles to Brick for two more weeks -
- Injunction proceeding to be heard by the Court at a later date -
TORONTO, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Co. Limited (TSE:BRB) today
announced that The Beer Store, Ontario's private virtual monopoly beer retailer, has asked for a delay of Brick's request for an injunction to compel The Beer Store to continue to release to Brick its share of empty industry standard bottles (the familiar long necks). |
On October 28, 2002, Brick launched its injunction proceedings to compel The Beer Store to continue to return empty industry standard bottles to Brick,in accordance with the standard brewer's user agreement between Brick and The Beer Store, which has been in place for nine years.
The Beer Store had earlier threatened that as of November 1, 2002 it would no longer release to Brick its share of empty industry standard bottles for re-use.
The Beer Store will continue to release to Brick its share of empty industry standard bottles to November 15, 2002.
No date has been fixed for the injunction proceeding to be heard by the Court.
